Fellows Program

In addition to the academic education that seminaries provide, aspiring pastors and church leaders need practical training in how to address real-life challenges of ministry.

The Linden Grove Fellows Program provides mentorship to seminary students, both men and women, who are committed to vocational ministry in the local church.  The program complements the academic curriculum offered by seminaries with practical training in the real-life challenges that church leaders face.  Each semester the Fellows:

  • Meet weekly as a group for training sessions similar to our Leadership Cohorts

  • Have regular one-on-one Personal Hours with their mentor, in which they receive encouragement, counsel, and coaching on issues relevant to that mentee’s life and ministry

  • Participate in various enrichment activities, including practical workshops and cohort retreats

The Fellows Program curriculum is designed so that the mentors learn more how to live, teach, love, and lead with the godliness and resilience of our Great Savior, Jesus Christ. Here is a sampling of the kind of material covered in our curriculum:

  • Living: How do you handle criticism, failure, and burnout?

  • Teaching: How do you develop cultural intelligence, especially in your sermon’s illustrations and applications?

  • Loving: How do you learn to see your church through the eyes of a volunteer?

  • Leading: How do you run a better staff meeting? Board meeting?

Beginning in the fall of 2021, we will offer the Fellows Program in partnership with Reformed Theological Seminary in New York City.
